Over 2000 animals will come to HSWC this year. Some are sick or injured, most need to be spayed, neutered, or vaccinated and some of them need to find new homes.
Our costs to care for the animals going up for adoption greatly exceed what we're able to charge in fees. The average animal costs us more than $400 before its adoption. We don't receive any tax or pet licensing dollars.
The Low Cost and No More Litters Programs help many low income families get their pets spayed or neutered each year (over 1600 in 2023) and will offer an increasing number of these surgeries in the coming year. Your financial support of this program is SO crucial!
