Zinuticz, Linda L. (Nee Nerenhausen)

On January 6, 2010, Linda L. Zinuticz, of Manawa, WI, formerly of Milwaukee, made her journey to Heaven. She is survived by her best friend and husband of over 35 years, Jeff A. Zinuticz. Jeff and Linda have been soulmates since their high school days. There was and will never be a stronger, loving bond. She will be loved, missed and mostly, respected by her two children, Gina and Jeffrey Zinuticz, for the rest of their days. She is a hero to her two children Gina (her Pookie) and Jeff (her Spot Joe). Her sister, Sandra A. Kraus, whom she loved without pretense and unconditionally, further survives her. Linda was very loved by her friends in Milwaukee and in Manawa, WI. However, she was most proud to have had the greatest gift no human can give, the everlasting love of her dogs. They are honorably: Emma Lou, Big Jake, Mr. Monk, Buster, LeRoy, Buddee, Rudy and Chico. In lieu of cards, flowers, or gifts, money and animal supplies can be sent in her name to the Humane Society of Waupaca County, PO BOX 145., Waupaca, WI 54981. "Heaven goes by favor. If it went by merit, you would stay out and your dog would go in." -Mark Twain "Just once."

"As long as I knew Lin, she always had a strong desire to help animals, especially dogs. When she started at the Humane Society of Waupaca County, it was a dream come true for her. She finally felt she was going to make a difference. her letters were full of stories about the wonderful dogs there in need. Every time one was adopted, and found their "forever" home, she was beyond happy. The time she spent at the shelter were amoung the treasured times of her life. When she became ill, she often wrote of her desire to return to the shelter and continue to "fight the good fight" and she loved you all." (Written by Linda's good friend Sandy Grall)

We here at HSWC, dogs, cats and humans alike, have missed Linda ever since she became ill and had to quit working. Her compassion, her strong work ethic, her humor and positive outlook continue to inspire us to this day. We are so sad that she won't be coming back to us, but her memory, and the inspiration to help animals lives on always!

There were many more dogs at the Humane Society Adoption Center that benefitted from her incredible love of dogs!
