Tea Leaf Readings; Your Future in a China Cup

Tea Leaf reading is considered to be one of the most creative and intuitive forms of divination. Gaining information from tea leaves has been around for thousands of years. Known also as Tasseomancy or Tasseography, tea leaf reading probably had its origins in ancient China. The Chinese would often read the dredges of their cups for symbols, omens or unusual patterns.

Terry Kohl, (Wild Rose, Wisconsin) discovered that she had been gifted with this ability a few years ago while hosting her annual Ladies on The Lawn summer party. Deciding to add something new to the gathering she set aside an area under the trees and set up a private reading area. Little did she know that for months afterwards friends would be calling with stories of how accurate she had been.

It wasn’t long before she found herself being asked to do her tea leaf readings at business openings and “Girls Night In” parties. Kohl believes this gift was meant to be shared with as many people as possible and accepts no fee. Instead, a donation of $10.00 per person is respectfully requested with all proceeds going to the Waupaca County Humane Society.  Kohl also provides her services as a raffle item to any animal rescue group and can conduct readings over the phone.

Individual readings are typically 15-20 minutes in length, although occasionally more or less time is needed. Kohl’s readings are all about empowering people with knowledge that often leads them down a new and adventurous path. She is available for private readings, parties group and fundraising events.
